A friday evening of lanterns and laughter with my girl @ Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
Cheeky snap of me (thanks to my mother) the first time I came to Stavanger @ Breiavatnet in the Centrum
No matter where I am in the world or who I am with, I always like to wish everyone a happy Friday.
I think this really started when I began working full time for the first time – which was freaking hard. Because I was going to work everyday, when Friday came round, it was such a relief! I was so tired and ready for some relaxation that I really started to put a negative feel to the work week and then Mondays. So I tried to start thinking of Fridays as a celebration of all I had achieved during the week and also, something to remind you of all the exciting things you had planned on the weekend. Most of the time, my weekend plans included cuddles with my pooch on the couch, in front of some serious Netflix Bingeing. But hey, those things are exciting to me!
How stunning is this Fornasetti print wall paper! My favourite place for a Friday Coffee @ Sage on Ann Street, Brisbane
I will never forget the look on my bosses face when I walked into his office and said “Happy Friday”! It was one of those moments you wish you were recording. It was a look of extreme confusion as i don’t think anyone had every said that to him before!
My older sister and I had been saying for ages and I didn’t think it was anything special but it soon became my signature “catch phrase” with everyone at work. I did’t say that as soon as I walked in the door, they thought something was wrong.
Nothing says “Happy Friday” like a bottle of Champagne @Harvey’s James Street, Brisbane
What say Happy Friday but a bottle of champagne @ Harvey’s James street, BrisbaneSo take a minute today wish everyone a Happy Friday! Think of things you have accomplished this week and look forward to the weekend that is too come! Maybe you have had the most stressful week but just think, you survived it! Maybe this week you made a decision that would change your life. Even if you had an uneventful week, be happy that perhaps nothing went wrong. Or perhaps you have a very eventful weekend that one needed to prepare for! Take a minute to wish yourself a Happy Friday!
Lots of love,
